Heparin-based Drug-Delivery Vehicle Development Service

Heparin-based Drug-Delivery Vehicle Development Service

Heparin is a negatively charged polysaccharide with a variety of biological activities. In particular, it has inherent solubility and biocompatibility, well suited as a Carbohydrate-based Drug-Delivery Vehicle. Heparin-based drug-delivery vehicle provides better pharmacokinetics and drug performance properties. CD BioGlyco has accumulated rich experience in developing a heparin-based drug delivery system that can be adsorbed and localized to specific tissues or organs through appropriate ligands.

Heparin-based Drug-Delivery Vehicle Development Service at CD BioGlyco

  • Synthesis of Heparin-based Drug-Delivery Vehicle: Through vehicle synthesis by poly and co-aggregation and self-assembly, the heparin is efficiently fixed on the surface of the carrier such as magnetic beads. Furthermore, we provide carbon dots (CDs)-heparin drug-delivery vehicle development service. CDs-Heparin nanoparticles by forming an amide group between CDs and Heparin. In addition, the synthesized vector is purified and dialyzed to facilitate the next service. Our development team pays special attention to the control of the response process. For the targets, we provide the following identification and characterization services:
Dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis service
Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis service
X-ray diffraction analysis service
Stability test service
Ultraviolet and visible (UV-Vis) absorption analysis service
Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis service
Zeta potential analysis service
Fluorescence analysis service
  • Drug Loading Efficiency and In Vitro Release Service: The stimulation-response drug release efficiency of the drug delivery system is further evaluated. We simulate a variety of different conditions (pH, hyaluronidase) to evaluate the release effect. Our investigators detect the compatibility between biomaterials and blood based on hemolysis service. We provide in vitro cytotoxicity detection services via MTT. Detection of cell activity and mobility based on in vitro scratch assay services. Furthermore, we provide cell imaging and drug tracking capability analysis and detection services.

Results: In this study, a heparin-based drug-delivery vehicle was designed and synthesized by surface modification of heparin using adriamycin hydrochloride (DOX) as a drug model. Amino-enriched CDs were prepared by hydrothermal polymerization, and the CDs were immobilized on the surface of heparin by chemical bonding. All intermediates and final products were characterized using NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. The surface amino groups provided the CDs with an extremely high drug-carrying capacity (28.45 wt%). Subsequently, the delivery efficiency was tested by in vitro drug release, cytotoxicity assay, and in vivo antitumor activity assay. The results showed that the prepared drug system inhibited the proliferation of tumor cells and could achieve an effective therapeutic effect.
