Composed of Marine Red Algae
Several substances are derived from red algae, among the various components, carbohydrates are the most abundant constituents of marine algae. These substances have antioxidant, antibiotic, and anticancer properties. Moreover, they are efficient in the prevention and correction of diet-related metabolic disorders, such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. CD BioGlyco provides high-quality custom Red Algae-derived Molecule Production Services and related Characterization Services for clients. Besides, we also have developed an algae-derived lectin production service that helps clients study the potential application of red algae.

Results: This study explores the anti-inflammatory activities of marine algae in neurodegenerative diseases. The research highlights the potential of marine algae in the prevention and treatment of neuroinflammation. Various compounds found in marine algae, such as sterols, peptides, lectins, phlorotannins, carotenoids, and polysaccharides, exhibit anti-inflammatory properties. These compounds inhibit pro-inflammatory mediators, reduce oxidative stress, and promote neuroprotective effects.
