Results: In this work, researchers tested and evaluated frondoside A derived from sea cucumber, as a potential anti-bladder cancer drug. It was shown that frondoside A displayed significant anti-tumor activity, affected cell cycle distribution, and induced apoptosis in a concentration-dependent manner. Moreover, the researchers analyzed the tumor growth effects in nude mice. In vivo results showed that frondoside A significantly reduced the growth of tumor xenografts and no significant toxic side effects were observed. This literature provides important information for a deeper understanding of the potential of marine natural products in cancer therapy.
