Pandaroside G Production Service

Pandaroside G Production Service

Explore the Mysteries of Marine Pandaroside G with Us

CD BioGlyco is a glycobiology company specializing in Marine Biomolecule Production. Our goal is to solve all the problems our clients encounter in marine biomolecule production. Pandaroside G is a steroidal glycoside from the marine sponge Pandaros acanthifolium. With reliable production and characterization technologies, our lab provides advanced pandaroside G production services. If you have any needs in Glycoside extraction, isolation, purification, and characterization, our highly trained team offers customized solutions!

Collection and Handling of Raw Material

For the raw material marine sponge, we offer cleaning and shredding service. The sponge remains frozen from collection to extraction.

Extraction of Pandaroside G

At room temperature, our researchers use MeOH/CH2Cl2 to extract crude extracts by evaporation. The crude extract contains several impurities and thus requires further separation.

Separation of Pandaroside G

For the crude extract, we use a combination of chromatography for purification. First, we use reversed-phase-C18 (RP-C18) flash chromatography for the initial separation. Then, we further purify by preparative RP-C18 high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-C18 HPLC) and analytical C6-phenyl HPLC to obtain a high-quality pandaroside G.

Characterization of Pandaroside G

CD BioGlyco provides professional extensive spectroscopic analysis such as infrared spectroscopy (IR), 1D- and 2D- nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) (COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and NOESY). Moreover, we provide high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS) analysis and chiral gas chromatography (GC) Analysis

Absolute configuration: CD BioGlyco provides pandaroside absolute configuration analysis by density functional theory(DFT), and Time-dependent density-functional theory (TDDFT) calculation.

Bioactivity Assay

CD BioGlyco provides the following activity analysis tests including but not limited to:

  • Antimalarial activity against P. falciparum
  • Trypanocidal activity against T. brucei rhodesiense
  • Leishmanicidal activity against Leishmania donovani
  • Plasmodial FAS-II enzyme inhibition assay
  • Trypanocidal activity against Trypanosoma cruzi
  • Cytotoxicity assay

Results: In this article, the authors talk about several novel steroidal glycosides from the Caribbean sponge Pandaros acanthifolium. The researchers found that pandaroside G and pandaroside G methyl ester both have inhibitory effects on the growth of T. brucei rhodesiense and Leishmania donovani. And they both showed significant cytotoxic effects. Importantly, pandaroside G and pandaroside G methyl ester also exhibited antimalarial activity.

Applications

  • Antiprotozoal activity: Pandaroside G provides an excellent natural raw material for the treatment and control of parasitic diseases, especially malaria.
  • Pharmacologic activity: Pandaroside G can be used to develop a range of glycoside inhibitors for inhibiting parasite growth.

Advantages of Us

  • Combined with excellent production programs, we offer glycoside production services in different purities to meet our clients' needs.
  • CD BioGlyco not only the production of pandaroside G but also pandaroside A, B, C, D, E, F, H, I, J, K, L, M and their methyl ester.
  • The pandarosides offered by us have a high yield and stability to achieve continuous production and meet the market demand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any structural similarities and differences between the different pandarosides?

Pandarosides and their methyl esters share a rare 2-hydroxycyclopent-2-enone D-ring with β-configuration at C-14. They differ in the alkyl side chains and sugar residues of the glycosidic portions.

What are the steroidal glycosides from sponges besides A?

Steroidal glycosides from sponges also include pachastrelloside A, scrobiculosides A and B, wondosterols A-C, poecillastrosides A-G, acanthifoliosides A-J, mycaloside A-K, hapaioside, and ptilosaponosides A and B. If you are interested in these glycosides, we provide you with the most satisfactory production program.

Regardless of the type of pandaroside required by the client, CD BioGlyco provides the most efficient production solution available. We are happy to facilitate your development of a marine glycoside program. Feel free to contact us to explore the mysteries of marine glycosides together!
