Results: This paper focuses on marine medicinal glycomics. First, the paper describes the biological resources widely found in the marine environment, including seaweeds, sponges, and marine animals, which are rich in various types of glycans. Glycans have important biological functions and pharmacological activities in marine organisms. Next, the paper describes in detail the methods and techniques of glycomics research. These include extraction and purification of glycans, structural analysis methods (e.g., MS, NMR), and assessment of the biological activity of glycans. These technological tools enable researchers to gain insight into the structural characteristics and functions of marine glycans. The paper then lists some examples and applications of marine medicinal glycans. These glycans have a variety of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antitumor, and antibacterial. They are used in drug development, clinical therapy, and healthcare.
