Properties
Description
The fucoidan-mesylate conjugate (alternatively known as mesylate-fucoidan) attaches a mesylate group to fucoidan, a sulfated seaweed polysaccharide, developing a conjugate that may be valuable in research.
Glycan Structure
The glycan structure of fucoidan primarily consists of α-(1→3)- or α-(1→4)-linked L-fucose residues with sulfate groups at C-2/C-4 positions, often interspersed with branching points and occasional substitutions by other monosaccharides like galactose or xylose.
