Properties
Description
This pH-responsive polymer conjugate features poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P2VP), a polymer with a nitrogen-containing aromatic ring that can be protonated at low pH, covalently attached via a hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain to the biocompatible polysaccharide xanthan gum, providing a versatile tool for studies involving stimuli-responsive materials, metal ion complexation, or the creation of pH-triggered release systems.
