Recombinant Arctic marine bacterium HL-ExoI, E. coli
Synonym: Heat Labile Exonuclease I
Size
2500 U; 50 KU; 500 KU
Properties
Description
Recombinant Arctic marine bacterium HL-ExoI, E. coli, is a 3’ – 5’ exonuclease that targets single-stranded DNA, produced through recombinant methods in E. coli. Its activity range spans from 25°C to 37°C, and it can be deactivated by a 1-minute incubation at 80°C or a 15-minute incubation at 60°C.
Unit Definition
One unit of the enzyme catalyzes the release of 10 nmol of acid-soluble nucleotides in 30 minutes at 25°C.
Buffer
10 mM Tris-HCl; 200 mM NaCl; 10 mM MgCl2; 1 mM DTT; 0.01% (v/v) Triton X-100; 50% (v/v) Glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Arctic marine bacterium HL-ExoI can be used for degrading ssDNA like primers and oligos, ideal for treating sensitive samples, and valuable for developing novel molecular diagnostics applications.
