Myrmekioside Production Service

Myrmekioside Production Service

Your Best Partner for Myrmekioside Production

Ocean resources are unfathomable and marine molecules are highly biologically active. With superior extraction and purification technologies, CD BioGlyco provides our clients with reassuring Marine Biomolecule Production services worldwide. Whether you need Marine Carbohydrates or Marine Glycolipids, our highly trained production team is ready for anything. Myrmekioside is a Marine Glycoglycerolipid from a marine sponge of Myrmekiodema sp. Relying on experienced researchers, we provide our clients with high-purity and many types of myrmekioside production services.

Pretreatment of Raw Materials

We use the marine sponge of Myrmekiodema sp. as raw material for extraction. We provide professional pre-treatment services for the collected marine sponge, including cleaning, chopping, and freezing services.

Extraction and Purification

We use acetone to extract the collected sponges at room temperature for 12h and repeated three times. The residue obtained by evaporation of the solvent under reduced pressure is partitioned into an AcOEt-water mixture. The water phase is further extracted using n-BuOH to obtain the n-BuOH soluble fraction. For the AcOEt-soluble fraction, we use repeated SiO2 column chromatography for separation.

The target components are mainly present in the n-BuOH soluble fraction. For the n-BuOH soluble fraction, our researchers provide efficient separation service by repeated SiO2 column chromatography and octadecyl silyl high-performance liquid chromatography (ODS-HPLC).

Characterization

For the purification of the obtained fractions, our lab provides a comprehensive characterization service to ensure the quality of the product.

  • Gas-liquid chromatography (GLC)
  • Mass spectrometry (MS)
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)
  • Infrared (IR) spectroscopy
  • HPLC

Bioassay

Bioactive molecule detection is an essential step in the production, we mainly provide anti-cancer activity assay, cell cycle assay, flow cytometry analysis, etc.
