Axinella corrugata Lectin Production Service

Boost Your Research with Our Axinella corrugata Lectin (ACL) Production Service

CD BioGlyco adheres to the in-depth exploration and utilization of marine biological resources. We provide Marine Biomolecule Production Services to transform precious molecules in the ocean into treasures for scientific research and application. On this basis, we focus on Marine Lectin Production Services and further launch ACL production service, which is customized for clients who need high-purity and high-activity ACL.

A. corrugata sponge is a marine biological resource with rich biological activity. The N-acetylamino carbohydrate-specific lectin contained in it has broad application prospects in cell research, biological imaging, and drug screening. Through in-depth research, we have successfully mastered the advanced technology for producing ACL from A. corrugata, including Technologies for Marine Carbohydrate Production, Technologies for the Purification of Marine Polysaccharides, and Marine Carbohydrate Characterization Technology.

  • Raw material collection and pretreatment: We select high-quality A. corrugata sponges as raw materials, and undergo strict screening and pretreatment to ensure the purity and activity of the raw materials.
  • Extraction: We use advanced biological extraction technology, combined with specific solvent systems and extraction conditions to efficiently extract ACL from the sponge.
  • Purification: We improve the purity of ACL through purification steps such as multi-step chromatography separation, dialysis, and concentration.
  • Activity detection: We use a variety of biological activity detection methods, such as cytotoxicity tests and immunochemical analysis to evaluate the activity of purified ACL.

Results: The authors discussed various structural features and biological activities of lectins derived from marine sponges. Lectins from marine sponges, including lectins from Axinella corrugata (ACL-1), Craniella australiensis, and Pellina semitubulosa, were found to stimulate mitosis in mononuclear human cells, splenocytes, and lymphocytes from mice and human lymphocytes, respectively. In addition to its mitogenic activity, ACL-1 was also utilized as a tool for mapping tissue suspected of neoplasia. When complexed with biotin, this lectin was able to recognize breast (T-47D, MCF7), colon (HT-29), lung (H460), ovarian (OVCAR-3), and bladder cancer cells (T24) by binding GalNAc and GlcNAc to the surface of these cells.

Applications of ACL

  • Cell labeling and identification: ACL has a high affinity for certain tumor cells, and it can be used to study the biological characteristics of these cells, such as cell-cell interactions and cell migration.
  • Protein-glycan interaction analysis: As a special protein, the interactions of ACL and glycan molecules provide a valuable tool for the study of protein-glycan interactions.
  • Surface modification in cell culture: ACL can be used for surface modification during cell culture. By coating ACL on cell culture plates, the attachment and growth behavior of cells during culture can be changed, thereby optimizing cell culture conditions.

Advantages

  • Advanced purification technology: We have advanced purification technology to ensure that the ACL extracted from A. corrugata sponge is extremely high in purity.
  • Wide applicability: ACL has a wide range of applicability. Whether it is used for cell labeling, tissue imaging, or as a biorecognition molecule, our ACL shows excellent performance.
  • Professional technical support team: We have a professional technical support team with rich experience and expertise to provide clients with timely and professional technical support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you provide customized ACL production services?

Yes, we provide customized ACL production services according to client needs. Our technical team will develop personalized production plans based on the client-specific requirements and experimental conditions, and provide corresponding technical support and services. Whether it is adjusting product purity, activity, or scale, we meet the special needs of clients.

If I buy your ACL, but there are problems in the subsequent experiments, how will you deal with it?

We attach great importance to client feedback and experimental results. If clients encounter problems after using our ACL, we will first communicate and understand with the client in detail, analyze the possible reasons, and provide corresponding technical support. If the problem is indeed caused by our product, we will actively assume responsibility and provide clients with services such as return, exchange, or re-production to ensure that the interests of clients are not harmed.
